Sabbatical!

Chumbawamba is having a break from doing gigs until the summer of 2011. That's all gigs - benefits, private parties, tours, festival appearances, one-off concerts - the lot.

We'll be back next summer though - if anyone still wants us!

Thanks.

New Photos

Endlich! Photos from the May tour of selected countries in Europe. The usual suspects feature: Jude and Lou continue their trend for wearing matching outfits, in-van activity features the usual handicrafts, laptops abound, there are pictures of food, hotel rooms, landscapes and odd architecture. A delight! See it here.

No Masters 20th Anniversary Show July 9th 2010

Twenty years them buggers have been at it. Twenty years since Jim Boyes and John Tams had the idea to start a different kind of record company - run as a co-operative, explicitly northern and committed to relevant, topical songwriting.

Since then the No Masters Co-op has evolved and grown into the many-headed hydra that will gather to entertain (Roll up! Roll up!) at Saltaire's Victoria Hall on 9th July.  A big-top circus of a show featuring Coope, Boyes & Simpson, Chumbawamba, O'Hooley & Tidow, Jo Freya, Fi Fraser, John Tams and Ray Hearne, and showcasing the Co-operative's varied talents (Jugglers! Acrobats! Lion-Tamers!).

The show starts at 7.45 prompt (there's a lot to squash in) and will feature sets by all the label's acts along with many and varied collaborations. Being some days in preparation, a splendid time is guaranteed for all - with the entire No Masters co-operative topping the bill. Come along and celebrate twenty years of them buggers doing it, and give 'em a big hand towards the next twenty …
